The J9151E is a 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ optical transceiver module designed for long‑distance single‑mode fiber connections in enterprise and data‑center networks. It plugs into an SFP+ port on switches, routers, or other networking equipment and provides high‑speed fiber connectivity with a duplex LC connector. Operating at a 1310 nm wavelength, the module supports 10 Gbps data rates and can reliably transmit signals up to 10 kilometres over single‑mode fiber (SMF), making it ideal for backbone links, campus interconnects, and other high‑bandwidth, extended‑distance applications. It complies with IEEE and Multi‑Source Agreement (MSA) standards and includes Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) to report real‑time diagnostics such as optical power and temperature. The hot‑pluggable form factor allows easy installation or replacement without powering down equipment, and it’s broadly compatible with Aruba and HPE networking hardware.
